It will be a $20 buy and we are looking to have around 6-10 buying in. If you are interested in playing we usually start around 7-8 pm depending on when everyone gets off work. Let me know if you are interested and I will start asking around at work about getting some time off. Unfortunately, I am the only one at my office who knows how to perform my job...which is great for job security but a huge pain trying to get time off.

At 7:43pm on November 18, 2008, Shad said…: Usually we do a $20 buy and play cash value chips. Start with blinds set at a quarter and fifty cents and then the blinds double as people go out. Depending on the number of players we tweak the house rules regarding the blinds. Sometimes we lock the blinds at 1 and 2 or as high as 4 and 8 if we have a big game. Generally we have 2 tables of 4-5 going and then a final table of 4. It's pretty serious competition but far from cut throat in nature. We all like the game but we keep the mood pretty light and enjoyable. Every now and then someone will get a little fired up after a bad beat but for the most part it's a bunch of really nice fellas drinking and playing poker. There have been times when we do a $10 buy and another $10 re-buy...kind of depends on the group that's there on any given night. If we have some folks new to the game we may only do a $10 buy with with 10 players it still worth your while. Maybe we can work it out and play sometimes. We generally rotate hosting but lately we have been playing in the Central area near Joor Road. But, we will go anyplace that is having a game.
